The release date is set. ‘Chasing Signs’ arrives 24th October, and I’m both excited and terrified for you to hear it.
This track required working with someone completely new to me. Vitaly handled the mixing and production remotely, which pushed me outside my usual collaborative comfort zone. Different cities, digital communication only, trusting someone I’d never worked with before to understand what this song needed. The distance actually worked in our favour somehow.
I’m genuinely proud of what we created together. The song came out exactly as raw and honest as it needed to be.
‘Chasing Signs’ is heartbreaking. I’ve cried listening to the final mix multiple times, which rarely happens with my own material. Usually there’s enough distance between creating something and hearing it back that the emotional impact lessens. Not with this one. It cuts through every time.
The thought of performing this live feels both necessary and daunting. There’s something about singing these particular lyrics in front of people that will require complete emotional vulnerability. No hiding behind performance, just direct connection with the material and whoever’s listening.
Remote collaboration taught me that physical proximity isn’t essential for meaningful creative partnership. Sometimes distance allows clearer communication about what the music actually needs.
Three weeks until release. I’m curious how this track will land with listeners who haven’t lived inside it like I have.
