I’ve rewatched it maybe ten times already. And every time, it gives me chills.
The recordings from that night at Munk Bar are now up on YouTube, and there’s something strange about seeing yourself from the outside in a moment you’re still carrying with you. Hearing the crowd sing back, seeing the faces, remembering exactly what I was thinking before each song started.
The first video is the opening stretch of the night. New singles, then the full EP Will I See You Again, start to finish: Time Kills Everything That I Love, Fake It, Morning, Secrets and Dreams, Bear. I spent a long time piecing these songs into one story, and now I get to watch how that story sounds live.
The second one is a different energy entirely. The hits, the rock, the drive. I’m Not in Love with You, Black Roses, Thank You, Boy, Forever Wrong. That’s where the room really opened up that night, and honestly, watching it back, I can feel that same drive on stage all over again.
