There is something about a song that takes its time getting to you.
BLUE has been sitting with me for a while. Not in a difficult way, more like a quiet companion. The kind of track that doesn’t rush to explain itself. I kept coming back to it during sessions, adjusting small things, listening to what it actually needed rather than what I thought it should be.
The release date is 22nd April. I chose it deliberately. April feels like transition, a month that hasn’t fully committed to being warm yet. BLUE fits that space.
The title is straightforward and not straightforward at all. Blue is a colour, an emotion, a frequency, a genre reference. It carries different weight depending on who is listening and what they brought with them into the room. That ambiguity felt right for this particular piece of work.
Vlad’s production shaped the sound into something cleaner than I initially imagined. There is space in this track. Room for the listener to exist inside it without being crowded out.
22nd April. Mark it if you want.
More details closer to the date.
