You can hear influences creeping in that I usually keep buried. There’s some Radiohead in the guitar textures, hints of Wolf Alice in the vocal delivery, but filtered through my own perspective on modern relationships and desire.
The recording process was different too. Instead of our usual careful approach, we captured most of it live in the studio. The energy was too good to overthink. Sometimes spontaneity serves the song better than perfection.
