GIMME WHAT I WANT – New Single Out Now

It’s here. GIMME WHAT I WANT is live on all streaming platforms. This track pushes me into territory I’ve never explored before, and I’m excited for you to hear where my head’s been lately.

The song is built around this idea of direct communication in relationships. No games, no hints, just saying what you want and asking for what you need. The cover art captures that same energy – the kind of look that says I know exactly what I’m after.

Sonically, we went bigger than my previous releases. The production has more weight, more presence. We layered guitars to create this wall of sound that matches the assertive lyrics. There’s still that indie-rock foundation, but with electronic elements that give it edge.

Working on the vocals was intense. The song required a different approach – less breathy indie whisper, more full-throated demand. I had to find this balance between vulnerability and strength, especially in the verses where the emotions shift quickly.

The track explores themes I hadn’t tackled so directly before. Physical desire, emotional boundaries, the complexity of wanting someone while maintaining your independence. It’s about being honest about your needs without apologizing for having them.

You can hear influences creeping in that I usually keep buried. There’s some Radiohead in the guitar textures, hints of Wolf Alice in the vocal delivery, but filtered through my own perspective on modern relationships and desire.

The recording process was different too. Instead of our usual careful approach, we captured most of it live in the studio. The energy was too good to overthink. Sometimes spontaneity serves the song better than perfection.

Lyrically, this one strips away metaphors. It’s about that moment when you stop dancing around what you want and just say it. The repetition in the chorus mirrors how these conversations actually happen – you keep asking until someone finally hears you.
