December always carries this specific anticipation that other months can’t replicate. Everyone starts planning gatherings, buying presents, preparing for that collective pause between years. This time feels different though, because I’m preparing something too.
‘Will I See You Again’ should arrive in January, which means the holidays will bridge the gap between finishing the album and sharing it with people. Strange timing, but somehow fitting. There’s something poetic about completing a major creative project right before the season designed for reflection and renewal.
The album represents everything I’ve learned about songwriting and production over the past year. Working entirely in English felt natural this time, not like a conscious choice but an inevitable direction. Each track demanded its own language, and English kept winning.
Holiday conversations often involve explaining what you’ve been working on to relatives who don’t quite understand your career. This year I can actually point to something concrete rather than describing abstract creative processes. Having physical evidence of your artistic effort makes those discussions easier.
Vlad’s mixing work continues to surprise me. Hearing familiar tracks transformed through his production perspective keeps revealing new layers I didn’t know existed. The album sounds more cohesive than anything I’ve created before.
January releases feel optimistic somehow. New year, new music, fresh possibilities. The timing suggests starting something rather than concluding it.
