Today marks the official release of LAND OF LIGHT – my debut EP that’s been two years in the making. After months of anticipation, these five songs finally exist in the world for everyone to discover.
The creative partnership with Vlad Mazur proved essential to bringing these tracks to life. He transformed rough demos into polished compositions while preserving the raw emotion that sparked each song initially. His production choices elevated the material without overwhelming its intimate core.
HIGH launches the EP with atmospheric optimism, establishing sonic territory that feels both grounded and ethereal. The opening track needed to invite listeners into this musical world while hinting at the emotional complexity ahead.
MY OLD FRIEND and BE WHO YOU ARE form the EP’s middle section, exploring themes of identity and relationship with increasing vulnerability. These songs push into more experimental arrangements while maintaining accessibility that welcomes repeated listening.
FOREVER WRONG serves as an emotional climax – the moment where all pretense drops away and truth emerges unfiltered. This track represents everything I’ve learned about accepting uncertainty rather than demanding resolution.
PART OF THE WAY (To Mother) closes the collection with profound personal significance. Written for my mom who died when I was seventeen, this song explores how love transcends physical presence. Grief becomes a form of ongoing connection rather than simple loss.
The EP’s title reflects its central concept – that illumination happens gradually through experience rather than sudden revelation. Each track documents different aspects of finding light within darkness, hope within despair, connection within isolation.
