I’ve been sitting on this song for almost three years. 1000 LIVES was written during one of the darkest periods of my life, back in 2019 when everything felt impossible. Now it’s finally ready to see the light.
The track started as most of my songs do – me alone with my guitar, trying to make sense of emotions that felt too big for words. I was going through something heavy, and music became the only way to process it. The melody came first, haunting and repetitive, like thoughts you can’t shake.
Lyrically, this song explores themes of resilience and transformation. It’s about feeling like you’ve lived multiple lifetimes in a single experience, how trauma and healing can make you into completely different versions of yourself. The title captures that sense of endless becoming.
Working with Vladimir Ilishkin on the arrangement has been incredible. He understood the song’s emotional weight from the first listen. We’ve been slowly building layers around the original acoustic foundation – adding textures that support the lyrics without overwhelming them.
The production process for this one has been different. Instead of rushing to capture energy, we’ve been letting it breathe and evolve. Some songs need time to reveal what they really want to be. 1000 LIVES has been teaching me patience.
What’s interesting is how my perspective on the song has changed since writing it. Back in 2019, it felt like a cry for help. Now it sounds more like a declaration of survival. Time has a way of transforming the meaning of your own work.
The demo I’m sharing captures the raw essence of where this song began. It’s rough around the edges, but that vulnerability is exactly what made me want to complete it properly.
This track represents a full circle moment for me as an artist. Taking something born from pain and turning it into something that might help other people feel less alone in their own darkness.
The full version is coming soon. This one means everything to me.
